PE Projects
Project #1. Students will create a "PE Portfolio".

"Portfolio" definition: "a selection of a student's work compiled over a period of time and used for assessing performance or progress".  - Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

All students will receive a 3-ring binder/notebooks with clear plastic pockets on the covers of the notebooks.

Students should take good care of this binder throughjout the school year.  If the binder is damaged then the student will be responsible for replacing their binder.  Additional binders will not be issued.

The clear plastic pockets will be used for an assignment and allow students to design a collage of their favorite physical activities and also be used for a healthy eating assignment.  Students will be assigned "themes" for these assignment which will identify their PE Interests,.

In addition to the 3 ring binder/notebook the student will also receive in their "PE Portfollio": -  notebook paper and 8 dividers to be placed in the notebook..

The student will also be receiving handouts for specific assignments during the year.

Additional Notes regarding PE portfolio:

Assignments are given and explained to the students during PE class but work is done outside of PE class so "PE Class time" can remain an "activity class". The PE Projects are  done away from PE class.
The student can also get on the SPN PE website out of class time to review their assignments and instructions.

Some Assignments will require a Parent Signature to increase parent involvement with their child's activities.

** The PE Portfolio is turned in to PE teacher to be reviewed for grades and credit.
